Jessica Roldan,
Interim CEO

Jessica Roldan, MSBA, MLS(ASCP)CM, serves as Interim CEO for Special Health Resources.

She joined Special Health Resources in 2018 and previously served as Director of Operations for the northern region encompassing operations in Paris, Texarkana, Texas and Texarkana, Arkansas. Jessica has 20 years of experience in healthcare and leadership roles.

Jessica earned a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University-Texarkana and graduated from UCLA Anderson School of Management/Johnson & Johnson’s Health Care Executive Program. Jessica is a board-certified Medical Laboratory Scientist and holds a Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt Certification.

In her free time, Jessica enjoys reading, spending time with her family, supporting animal rescue organizations, and continuing her education.

Kenneth M. Kosowicz,
Chief Financial Officer

Kenneth M. Kosowicz, CPA, MBA, serves as Chief Financial Officer of Special Health Resources for Texas. He joined the organization in 2019, and has more than 25 years of senior leadership experience within various healthcare organizations. As CFO, Ken oversees all financial operations including corporate accounting, treasury management, revenue cycle, financial strategic planning, and analysis.

Ken began his career with Ernst & Young. Before joining Special Health Resources for Texas, he served in various leadership roles with a diversity of healthcare settings including Community Hospital, Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTAC), home health, residential rehabilitation, behavioral health, allied health, and school programs. He is a member of the State CPA society and AICPA.

Ken earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Conservation from the University of New Hampshire, and holds a Master’s of Business Administration in Finance from Southern New Hampshire University.

In his free time Ken enjoys outdoor activities and time with the family.

Lee Stephens,
Chief Information Officer

Lee Stephens is a native East Texan and a graduate of Pine Tree ISD. Before joining Special Health Resources in June of 2021, Lee served for 15 years in various technical and leadership roles in the Information Technology field with 10 of those years in Healthcare Information Technology.

His responsibilities as Chief Information Officer include setting objectives and strategies for the IT Department, establishing and directing IT-related projects and implementing technology that improves patient care.

Lee is a Microsoft Certified Professional ® and holds a CompTIA® Healthcare IT certification, as well as a Network Plus and A Plus certifications.  He is also a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.

In his free time, Lee enjoys spending time with family, fishing and mountain biking.

Michael P. Simmons,
Chief Human Resources Officer

Michael P. Simmons, MLS-HR, PHR, SHRM-CP, serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer. He joined Special Health Resources in 2024 and has over 13 years of experience in human resource management.

Michael earned a Master of Legal Studies in Human Resources and Employment Law from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from LeTourneau University. Michael holds PHR and SHRM-CP certifications, and he is an active member of the Rose City Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. Michael has supported the East Texas community for the past several years by attending and volunteering at events led by SHRM, Texas Workforce Solutions, and others.

In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with his family.

Theresa Jones,
Chief Development Officer

Theresa Jones has been with Special Health Resources for fifteen years, and currently serves as Chief Development Officer, and previously served as Program Director for the Ryan White Prevention/Outreach and Substance Abuse Programs.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from LeTourneau University. Ms. Jones is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a member of the Northeast Texas Homeless Consortium. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, nature walks, motorcycle riding, and traveling.

Anita Scribner,
Chief Medical Officer

Anita Scribner, MD, spent her childhood in Wills Point, Texas, aside from one year in northern Italy as a foreign exchange student. She attended the University of Texas and received a BA in Anthropology and a Masters in Public Health from University of Texas Health Science Center - Houston. Anita completed her Medical Degree at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and went to Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis for Internal Medicine residency, followed by University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for her fellowship in Infectious Diseases.

Anita joined Diagnostic Clinic of Longview in 1999 and has served continuously as an infectious diseases consultant at both Longview Regional Medical Center and Good Shepherd. She holds board certifications in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She has been a physician at Special Health Resources since 2002 and now serves as Chief Medical Officer.

Anita married Ray Scribner in 1987 and they have seven children. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, and bicycling. She has been a volunteer with Diakonia Compassionate Ministries in Kisumu, Kenya since 2005.

Josh Talley,
Dental Director

Dr. Josh Talley is a native of southwest Arkansas. In 2008 he received his B.S. degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, AR. He continued his education earning a M.A. degree in Biomedical Science from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. In 2015 Dr. Talley graduated with honors from Midwestern University, Downers Grove, IL with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Since joining Special Health Resources in 2015, he has taken great pride in improving the oral health of those in Northeast Texas and Southwest Arkansas.

Dr. Talley has been married to his wife Ashley since 2009 and they have two children, Cooper and Abigayle. In his free time he enjoys hunting, golfing, being outdoors and spending time with family.

Lisa Van Diemen,
FNP-C, PMHNP-BC
Behavioral Health Director

Lisa Van Diemen was born and raised in the West Texas town of Big Spring. She later moved to Central Texas, and with two children, attended and graduated from McLennan Community College with a degree as a physical therapist assistant.

She has been a licensed physical therapist assistant (LPTA) for 30 years, providing physical therapy in multiple settings. While a LPTA, she returned to college to obtain her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Tyler and worked as a critical care (ICU) nurse in the Longview and Tyler area for 11 years before returning to UT Tyler to obtain her Master Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. As an American Academy of Nurse Practitioner board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she has extensive experience in primary care, long-term care and geriatric inpatient psych. After providing medical care at a geriatric-psych facility for 10 years, she attended Regis College to obtain a post-Master Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and is now board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Lisa is married to Rick Van Diemen, who is originally from Canada and an avid motocross racer. Between them they have three grown children. Lisa enjoys working and helping people. In her free time, she enjoys crafts and watching her flowers grow in her garden.

Along with Special Health Resources Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anita Scribner, Lisa has been a volunteer with Diakonia Compassionate Ministries in Kisumu, Kenya, making her first trip in 2016 and several subsequent trips. On two of their trips, Lisa has taken her son along who has made and produced videos of their experiences there to help educate those at home of the conditions and needs of the Kenyan people. These can be found on YouTube listed as Curatio Mundi. Lisa’s husband also has experience with missions working with Mercy Ships for four years and traveling to countries such as Africa, Costa Rica and Guatemala.

Ernesto Guevara,
Compliance Officer

Ernesto Guevara, BSN, RN, first joined Special Health Resources as a volunteer and, after six months, became a full-time Bilingual Case Manager in March of 2002. He has served as the Compliance & Performance Improvement Officer at SHR since September 2017. Throughout the years, Ernesto has held various positions at SHR, including AETC Site Coordinator, Project Data Manager, Staff RN, Clinic Manager, and Quality Assurance Quality Improvement Manager. He takes pride in working daily to improve the health and well-being of people in East Texas and Southwest Arkansas and being an avid advocate for HIV services for over 25 years. Ernesto has also published and presented in several National and Statewide conferences representing the organization. He is a current member of the Health Care Compliance Association.

Ernesto has an Associate’s Degree from Kilgore College in Applied Sciences and was granted a Registered Nurse License in 2014. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was the Student Speaker during the Nursing Pinning Ceremony. Ernesto is pursuing his Master’s of Science in Nursing from the same university, focusing on Nursing Administration. He is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the Golden Key International Honour Society, and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

In his free time, Ernesto enjoys spending time with his family and volunteering in the community. He has volunteered as an Interpreter/preparer for the IRS -VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program with the Greater Longview United Way, American Cancer Society “Relay for Life,” and the City of Longview National Volunteer Day.

Jeanette Geddie,
Director of Operations

Jeanette Geddie serves as Director of Operations for Special Health Resources (SHR), including health centers in Tyler, Jacksonville, Longview, Paris and Texarkana, as well as our mobile health units that provide healthcare services to more than 23 counties.

Jeanette has been with SHR since 2015, and has been in the healthcare industry for more than 22 years. Upon joining SHR, she led efforts to establish the first pediatric practice. She went on to collaborate with internal and external partners to establish the first obstetrics and gynecological practice in 2016. In 2020, Jeanette was instrumental in leading her team in launching the first drive-up COVID-19 testing service at SHR, and one of the first in East Texas.

Jeanette is the vice chair for the Vaccine Awareness Coalition of East Texas and is a member of the steering committee for Greater Longview Optimal Wellness (GLOW). She also serves on the Medical Assisting Advisory Board for Panola College.

Jeanette earned her Associate of Arts degree from Kilgore College and graduated from UCLA Anderson School of Management/ Johnson & Johnson’s Health Care Executive Program. Jeanette holds a Healthcare Economics Certification from Harvard Business, as well as her Non-Profit Management Certification and Human Resource Management Certification from Louisiana State University. She is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, NRCMA and a Certified Medical Coder. Jeanette is currently working towards a bachelor degree in political science with a minor in legal studies/ health law and ethics.

In her free time, Jeanette enjoys making memories with her family, volunteering with the local food bank and going on adventure trips.

Tiffany Bridges,
Director of Quality 

Tiffany Bridges has been with Special Health Resources since 2008 and currently serves as the Director of Quality.  Tiffany possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Vista College and a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Colorado Technical University. Tiffany is a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success and The National Association of Community Health Workers. Ms. Bridges is a Certified Crisis Prevention Intervention Trainer as well as a Community Health Worker Instructor. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and expanding her knowledge base on the world around her.

Tammi Smith,
Director of Nursing

Tammi Smith, RN, has worked with Special Health Resources since 2008. Prior to becoming Director of Nursing, Tammi previously served as Lead LVN, Staff RN, Clinic Manager, and Supervisor of Nursing Services.

Tammi has an Associate Degree in Applied Science and became a licensed Registered Nurse in 2012. She is currently working towards a master’s degree in nursing at the University of Texas at Tyler. She has worked extensively in the Ryan White Program and Substance Abuse program, and is committed to ensuring that the agency’s clinics provide the highest level of care.

In her spare time, Tammi enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Ashley Tompkins,
Director of Communications & Public Relations

Ashley Tompkins serves as Director of Communications and Public Relations of Special Health Resources for Texas. She joined the organization in 2023 with more than 17 years experience in marketing, media and public relations.

Ashley earned her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.
